Kimberley Wilderness Adventures - APT

accommodated safaris in permanent wilderness camps & lodges

Touring in small groups of up to 20 travellers, we understand that touring is about more than just visiting an area. We allow you time to explore in depth, and experience personal interaction with the traditional Aboriginal land owners. Learn all about the proud culture and natural history of this fascinating region.

In partnership with indigenous landowners, Kimberley Wilderness Adventures have strategically positioned their ecologically sustainable wilderness camps and lodges to provide you with unparalleled access to spectacular parts of the Kimberley. All camps are permanently staffed with dedicated hosts, ensuring you enjoy incredible surrounds. Permanent tented cabin features include comfortable, off the ground twin beds; linen; doonas; lighting; fresh homestyle meals; hot showers and permanent toilet facilities.

Affectionately known as 'The Gibb', this old stock route covers some 660km through the Kimberley. The thrill of journeying this pioneering route is matched only by its spectacular environment: Gorges, rivers and Aboriginal rock art sites. Safaris are conducted in custom-built, air-conditioned 4wd Izuzu vehicles, with a maximum of 20 passengers. Kimberley Wilderness Adventures has established Australia's most extensive network of permanent fully-hosted wilderness camps and lodges throughout the Kimberley.

Choose between a range of 5-15 day tours departing regularly from Broome, Kununurra or Darwin.
