DAY 1
Travel from Darwin is by Luxury Greyhound Coach - Departs the terminal at Mitchell Street Darwin at 7.15am. Pass through Adelaide River, Katherine, Victoria River and Hunter Creek before arriving in Kununurra at about 6.15pm. A relaxing evening and dinner while you meet your travelling companions.
DAY 2
Today we depart Kununurra and head towards the Bungle Bungles. Along the way we may cross the river at Ivanhoe Crossing or stop at the Warmun Art Centre to view art by the local indigenous artists. The track into Purnululu National Park is Four Wheel Drive Only - a slow but scenic trip as we approach the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. We set up camp and then do a bit of exploring before
drinks at sunset - a day you'll never forget!
DAY 3
Echidna Chasm, Frog Hole, Mini Palms Gorge, Picanniny Creek, Cathedral Gorge are our options today - we are in the midst of the Bungle Bungles and there is plenty to see and do. You might also take the optional helicopter flight (additional cost) and experience the magic from the air.
DAY 4
We negotiate our way back over the 4WD track to the main highway and head to Fitzroy Crossing. This part of the East Kimberley is very scenic and opportunities to take photos present themselves at many places. An optional river cruise (additional cost) is available to explore Geikie Gorge just out of Fitzroy Crossing. Tonight we camp at 'The Lodge' after a swim in the hotel pool.
DAY 5
The last leg of our journey takes us to beautiful tropical Broome where we sadly farewell our travelling friends. Along the way we see the Fitzroy River, huge Boab trees and keep our eyes open for the local wildlife. We end our journey on the shores of the Indian Ocean and then get dropped off at your accommodation.
