14 Day luxury tour: Broome to Broome

Join a small group, (maximum 8 people), on an exclusive tour through ‘The Kimberley'. Join us as we stay in out of the way Safari Lodges, Kimberley Camps and at Outback Stations. Dine under the stars, walk into spectacular gorges and swim under cool, clear waterfalls. Visit significant indigenous art-sites and explore the aboriginal culture.

Day 1
We depart Broome and head up Highway One, crossing the mighty Fitzroy River, before morning tea at Willare Bridge roadhouse. We then continue on to see the Prison Boab tree at the start of the Gibb River Road. We have lunch in Derby and head to Mowanjum Art Gallery before the afternoons travel takes us to Windjana Gorge where we explore the gorge before our first night under canvas.  

Day 2
We head off early and explore Tunnel Creek as it winds its' way under the Devonian reef. We then continue along ‘The Gibb', crossing the King Leopold Range and heading into ‘cattle-country'.  We take a walk into the spectacular Bell Gorge where we can have a refreshing swim before a delicious lunch. We depart and after a scenic drive we arrive at Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge.

Day 3
Today we leave Mt Hart and head to Mornington Wilderness Camp where we explore this rugged wilderness area. Mornington has been set aside as a wildlife sanctuary by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy to preserve this area for future generations. Dinner at the Mornington Restaurant. 

Day 4
A day of exploring and canoeing in Dimond Gorge and Sir John Gorge.
We end the day with a magnificent dinner at  the restaurant at Mornington Wilderness Camp. 

Day 5
We head back up to The Gibb River Road and visit Adcock Gorge and the beautiful Galvan's Gorge - we will swim and have a leisurely lunch before heading to our campsite via Mt Barnett Roadhouse. 

Day 6
We start the day with an early morning walk to Manning Gorge and take the opportunity to have a refreshing swim.
We then continue along the Gibb River Road and head to the famous El Questro Station. Dinner at the El Questro Restaurant concludes this great day.

Day 7
We start the day with a soak in Zebidee Hot Springs, explore the El Questro Gorges and take a relaxing 'Champagne' cruise in the Chamberlain Gorge. We then head to Kununurra for an evening at Kununurra Country Club Resort.

Day 8
Today is spent on a cruise on Lake Argyle and the Ord River - you will be amazed at the size of this inland 'ocean'. 

Day 9
It's back on the road as we head towards the Bungle Bungles. Along the way we may cross the river at Ivanhoe Crossing or stop at the Warmun Art Centre to view art by the local indigenous artists. The track into Purnululu National Park is Four Wheel Drive only - a slow but scenic trip as we approach the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. We check-in to The Bungle Bungle Bushcamp and then head for Echidna Chasm to do a bit of exploring before drinks as the sun sets over The Bungle Bungles - another day you'll never forget!
We have a dinner provided by the hosts of the bushcamp.

Day 10
Picanniny Creek and Cathedral Gorge are on our list today - we are in the midst of The Bungle Bungles and there is plenty to see and do. You take a helicopter flight and experience the magic from the air. We spend another night in this amazing place!

Day 11
This part of the East Kimberley is very scenic and opportunities to take photos present themselves at many places. We continue on our way to Fitzroy Crossing where you have a delicious dinner at ‘The Lodge' before retiring to your safari tent for the night.

Day 12 & 13
We start the day with a cruise to explore the Geike Gorge just out of Fitzroy Crossing. This leg of our journey takes us to Derby where you will then fly out to Horizontal Waterfalls and spend the night on a luxury vessel in Talbot Bay.
