The Gibb River Road tour is the Kimberley's most comprehensive eco adventure. For people who wish to experience the atmosphere of unique Kimberley wilderness, you must join this once in a lifetime Australian outback camping tour. Our experienced Tour guides will introduce you to the incredible scenery, Aboriginal art and wildlife that makes the Kimberley one of the world's great wilderness areas. Includes highlights if the Gibb River Road as well as the Mitchell Falls/Plateau and the Bungle Bungles.

DAY 1: Broome - Windjana Gorge
We depart Broome and travel via the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit. We leave the bitumen behind us as we enter the Gibb River Road, almost instantly we can feel the remoteness. A walk up Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. The area is rich in aboriginal culture and your guide will tell you about the "outlaw" Jandamurra, the Bunaba people and the battle of Devils Pass. Camping overnight Windjana National Park. (L/D)


DAY 2:
Windjana - Bells Gorge
This morning we're off to Tunnel Creek, have your bathers and torches ready.  This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range and is rich in history, here you will get your feet wet as we explore Jandamurras hideout. Afternoon sees us off to Bells Gorge.  Camping overnight Bells Gorge. (B/L/D)
 

DAY 3: Bells Gorge - Manning
Leaving Bells Gorge this morning, we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Kimberley's highest mountain range, King Leopold Ranges, on our way to Galvans Gorge. This gorge will tempt you to don the bathers. For those feeling like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. Camping overnight Mt Barnett Station. (B/L/D) 


DAY 4: Manning Gorge - King Edward River
Today we leave the Gibb River Road, and travel Kalumburu Road to Mitchell Plateau, visiting Drysdale River Station. Our camp will be on the banks of the river, an afternoon dip here, and a chance to explore the area before dinner is a must. Camping overnight King Edward River. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Mitchell Plateau and Falls
We make full use of our 4WD capacity today, to take us to the Mitchell Plateau. Livistona palms abound in this rugged region. Experience an optional helicopter flight over these falls, you can see some of the remotest country in the world. While swimming and overlooking the cascading falls, take a moment out, realising just where you are on the map.

Day 6: King Edward River - Home Valley
This morning we visit aboriginal paintings in the area, we must now depart our river camp and Mitchell Plateau and travel back down Kalumburu Road to rejoin the Gibb River Road. Our journey takes us through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready aswe wind our way towards Home Valley. Tonight we camp at Home Valley Station.(B/L/D)

Day 7: Home Valley 
Today we have the chance to explore the vibrant Home Valley Station. There are many options available today - why not try a bird watching tour? Other optional activities include fishing, horse riding and canoeing.

Day 8: Home Valley - Kununurra
Our journey today takes us through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready as wind our way towards El Questro Station. A walk to stunning Emma Gorge, with a rewarding swim in the crystal clear waters before continuing on to Kununurra. Camping ovenight Kununurra (B/LD)

Day 9: Kununurra
A free day today, to enjoy the many attractions of Kununurra. Some suggestions for your free day - visit the plantations in the area, take a boat cruise along the Ord River, boat cruise on Lake Argyle, fishing trip on the lower Ord River, flight to Argyle Diamond Mine. These are only some of the optional tours available to you.

DAY 10: Kununurra - Bungle Bungles
Depart Kununurra and drive via the scenic RAGGED RANGE onto Turkey Creek, where we have a short stop. We head to the Bungle Bungles turn off and 53 kms drive on a very scenic, but winding dirt road via the magnificent OSMAND RANGE. We arrive in time for lunch at the Northern Gorges. Afternoon walk in ECHIDNA CHASM, and MINI PALMS (time permitting), before arriving at our overnight camp on sunset. (L/D)


DAY 11: Bungle Bungles
This morning we head to the southern end for a walk through the Bee Hive area of Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge. An optional helicopter flight available today gives us the advantage to view these magnificent formations close up from the air before returning to Kununurra for our overnight camp. (B/L)


DAY 12: Bungle Bungles to Fitzroy Crossing
An early start to the main road and on to the once thriving gold town of Halls Creek. Then on to our overnight stop at Fiztroy Crossing. Camping overnight at Fitzroy River Lodge. (B/L/D)


DAY 13: Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
Pack up camp for the last time and travel to Geikie Gorge for a morning visit. You will have the opportunity here for an optional boat cruise on the Fitzroy River and Geikie Gorge. We then make our way to Broome, where your Kimberley safari officially ends. (B/L)
